This flame sensor detects fire or a strong light source and sends a signal to your Arduino or other microcontroller. Connect the pins, upload a short sketch, and your project can react the moment a flame appears in front of the module.
It is a handy module for simple fire alarm projects, fire-fighting robots, gas stove safety demos, and school science exhibits. The board gives both digital and analog output, so you can either get a simple yes or no signal or read how close the flame is. A small knob on the board lets you adjust the sensitivity. It is meant for hobby and learning projects, so please do not use it as a replacement for a certified fire alarm.
